Another year of conferences and festival season is upon us! For decades i have co-created dozens of small and large business and cultural events per year. They have been so exciting, professionally rewarding and culturally enriching. But since the 2017 forest fire season, when the climate emergency hit the big alarm bell for me, I have sought out the evolution of events beyond the status quo, to use this stimulating time to deeply engage and power the change we need in our lives.
I was bored of the same old speaker circuit at events with little to no collective action afterwards, or in virtual gatherings = talking head tune out! I dissected the large scale drug fueled festivals that survived the pandemic and continue to take alot of our health, time and money. I doubled down on my efforts to seek and support disruption in the way we live and solutions to our grand challenges. The Question: How can we take a big leap forward and co-create “interAction” events (intergenerational) that tackle both exciting solutions with cultural enlightenment and guide us collaboratively and transparently into ACTION? From that seminal year in 2017 I travelled to new impact festivals mashed with social tech conferences, such as European Lab/Nuit Sonores and SXSW. This year I am excited to share a new crop of opportunities for you to glean on for 2023. Don’t choose the same road where all your friends are going!
