On Sept 11-15, 2024 @ The Gathering in Portugal, we co-created vibrant regenerative communities, holding the vision of a thriving Earth for all. Over the course of 5 days, there were around 500 workshops, including Geoship regenerative living technologies and community matchmaking at Frequency Village in the hayship, in collaboration with Gaianet. At this year’s Gathering of Tribes, we united to celebrate the richness of human diversity, collective wisdom, and a shared purpose to co-create a new paradigm for Earth. Held at The Garden, this event became a catalyst for change, where Regens from around the world gathered to reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other. The sense of urgency to address the growing challenges facing our planet, including environmental degradation, social inequities, and the collapse of outdated systems, was palpable.
One of the most powerful aspects of the gathering was the collective sense of responsibility that emerged. The conversations were deeply transformative, focusing on how we can build a future that not only sustains but regenerates ecosystems. Every participant brought their unique gifts, knowledge, and experiences to the table—permaculture experts, spiritual leaders, technologists, and community builders—all contributing to a broader vision of a resilient world. - Open Source Collaboration: Platforms like Notion enable rapid prototyping and collaboration, allowing regenerative communities to develop their projects and initiatives without requiring large financial backing. And we will talk about almighty Regen AI just below!
- Innovative Financial Models: Financial models like ReFi (Regenerative Finance) create pathways for shared growth by capping profits and reinvesting them into regenerative projects. Tokenization fundraising models were also highlighted at the Gathering of Tribes, showcasing how communities can leverage blockchain technology to raise funds transparently and distribute ownership more equitably. Projects like Geoship’s crowd powered structure already embody this, allowing residents to co-own homes and the company itself. These financial innovations pave the way for resilient, self-sustaining ecosystems, with communities becoming stakeholders in their long-term growth.
